ROOT BEER OF ALL EVIL (BARREL AGED) BY GREAT LAKES BREWERY

  • STYLE: Stout
  • ABV: 7%
  • IBU: 18
  • COUNTRY: Canada
  • REGION: Toronto, ON (Etobicoke)
  • BREWERY: Great Lakes Brewery

Appearance | Pitch black with a mocha head that disappears quickly.

Smell | Smokiness, whiskey, peat, black liquorice, molasses, vanilla, and sarsaparilla.

Taste |  Smokiness, whiskey, vanilla, sarsaparilla, herbs, black liquorice, and molasses.

Aftertaste | Black liquorice, vanilla, and root beer.

Overall | This unique beer is brazen and alluring. It is a heavy-bodied rich brew, full of bold flavours that stimulate the taste buds on a variety of levels. The tastes of vanilla, molasses, and sarsaparilla invite the comparison between this beer and the beloved soft drink. But it’s way better than what somebody might order at A&W.  It’s a sharp kick to the drinker’s taste-buds. For those who can appreciate the taste of the infamously potent Jagermeister, but would like to avoid the headache and drama that immediately follows that consumption, this beer may be a good alternative.   For the craft beer enthusiast with a sweet tooth, try adding a scoop of ice cream to a pint of this bad boy- grab a spoon and enjoy a Root Beer of All Evil float.  Great Lakes Brewery continues to push the envelope by brewing the most creative and outrageous brews for craft beer enthusiasts.
