From Wellington Brewery,

After a long and brutal winter, we’re welcoming the spring with a crisp and hoppy wheat ale. S’wheat Thang has an unfiltered wheat body with a balanced bitterness from Cascade, Amarillo, and Sorachi Ace hops. With notes of lemon, orange and tropical fruit, this crisp and refreshing wheat ale is the perfect beer to kick off the s’wheat s’wheat springtime!

Appearance | Hazy unfiltered orange  with an white head that quickly disappears.

Smell | Grainy, malts, wheat, hops, and subtle notes of citrus.

Taste | Hops, slight wheat, grass, bitterness, subtle notes of orange and citrus.

Aftertaste | Hoppy dry finish with lingering notes of bitterness.

Overall | S’ Wheat Thang!   The latest Welly One-Off is a hoppy Wheat Ale that’s a welcome sight to see!  Spring is finally here!  It should be noted that this one-off is unfiltered and that’s a pretty darn good thing!  It is a crisp and tart medium-bodied brew with lots of fizz.  This one-off will be a hit among hopheads.   Though delicious, it was missing a more prominent citrus flavour that may have packed a larger punch in the palate!   The Brew Head looks forward to more unfiltered Welly One-Offs.   That being said, S’ Wheat Thang is a decent beer for the patio, camping, or cottage. Cheers to Spring and all the great beer it inspires!
