The Introduction

This session IPA is light bodied, and very hop forward. Pulling its flavour from large late editions of Amarillo and Citra hops this beer is sure to please the hop heads out there.

Appearance | Hazy, unfiltered, pale gold colour with a white head.

Smell | Citrusy, grapefruit, subtle notes of pine.

Taste | Citrus, grapefruits, tangerines, piney, light bitterness.

Overall | Outta the park!  From Royal City Brewing Co., this is Exhibition Session IPA.

Out of the bottle pours a hazy pale gold colour with a white head that laces the glass with every sip.   The aroma is citrusy and refreshing with notes of grapefruits, zest, and pine.   It’s smoothly drinkable with its notes of citrus zest, grapefruits, tangerines, and pine.   It’s hardly bitter which it’s a good thing especially when it’s Summer!   I can see myself having more and next time, I’ll be sure to bring my growler to get a refill of this delicious, citrusy, and refreshing session IPA!

It’s a beer that I could see being served at Guelph Royals games and they really should!   Royal City Brewing Co. is the new yet nearly a year old brewery that’s popping up all over Guelph.  With its regular line-up, plus their one-offs that are hoppy and delicious…  You really shouldn’t miss out on these guys.  There’s always something new at the brewery and they’re always playing with new beer which it’s fantastic.

Exhibition Session IPA is similar to such beer as Muskoka Detour, GLB’s Canuck Pale Ale, and Nickelbrook’s Naughty Neighbour.  On that note, this beer gets a solid four out of five pints!
